The 9th Annual Tradition continues
Six teams of young students from several high schools and colleges in Mexico will participate in the 9th Annual Rosarito Film Festival (RFF), which will be held at the Rosarito Beach Hotel on the 13th August 2016.
The film festival has been held annually under the Rediscover Rosarito Project, a diverse grassroots public diplomacy campaign based on soft power. This campaign aims at restoring an image of the city of Rosarito on an on going basis.
This project was initiated by Hugo Torres, the former mayor of the city of Rosarito, in cooperation with Dr. Gregory Payne, Chair of the Department of Communication Studies at Emerson College in Boston; and  Ron Raposa, Public Relations professional in Rosarito.
During the week of July 31 - August 6, 2016, all teams have to write, edit, and produce their film around the city of Rosarito.  Each team is given a camera, microphone and computer provided by Emerson College. The films will then be previewed for judging during the following week.  A showcase premiere is scheduled for the public spectators at the Rosarito Beach Hotel on August 13, 2016. Various awards will be presented to the winners.
